The first TRADEIT “Needs and Barriers Analysis” Workshop- a great success of collaboration between ILU e.V. and FBK e.V.!

ILU e.V, (Institute for Food and Environmental Research) as the German Partner in the EU project TRADEIT organised on 10th of December 2013 the first “Needs and Barriers Analysis” Workshop.

With the excellent cooperation and of FBK Association for Bakers and Confectioners Bergholz-Rehbrücke e.V. the experts of ILU e.V. performed - additionally to an introductory to TRADEIT Project aims and goals – a comprehensive evaluation of the real needs and technological issues of small traditional bakeries from the Region Brandenburg.

From ILU e.V participated Dr. Karsten Schmidt (Project Manager of TRADEIT for Germany), M.A. Ines Gromes (Communication Manager of ILU and PR representative for TRADEIT in Germany) and MSC Drd. János-István Petrusán (HUB Advisor for TRADEIT in Germany, Bakery& Sustainability).

Furthermore the representative of Potsdam Handcraft Chamber, Ms. Eva Gatzky gave a useful update of the situation of traditional bakery SMEs in the Region.

ILU e.V. provided to the 13 representatives of the SME bakeries a complete information package related to innovative modalities of achieving key performance and higher competitiveness on the open market.

The representatives of the SMEs filled-in the standard “Questionnaire on Needs and Barriers”, based on which useful evaluation work will follow-up in ILU e.V for offering viable solutions for the technological and sustainability issues raised.
The next “Needs and Barriers Analysis” Workshop will take place on 3rd of February 2014 in Göttingen, Germany with the active support of the Die Bäcker e.V.
